Georgina Bembry, APRN has worked for more than 10 years as APRN in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Prior to that she worked in critical care settings such as Emergency Room, Open Heart Surgery, Intensive Care, etc. She served as Clinical Educator and Preceptor for RN & LPN students at several hospitals. She joined the SimplerPsych team in 2020.
Dr. Tina Goodrow, APRN is an ANCC board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, across the lifespan, with over 28 years in psychiatric nursing both inpatient and outpatient services. She earned her Post Masters Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Certification from Stony Brook University in 2013. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2017 developing a social change program to reduce violence. In 2015 she was an invited keynote speaker at the NYS Office of Mental Health Chief Nursing Officer’s Conference. She was a recipient of the Primary Care Service Corp Award. She has been recognized as a scholar/practitioner and member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses and Golden Key International Honour Society. She also participates in other professional nursing societies.
She started her mental health career in the Emergency Department and Acute Care Services and then transitioned to a government career, with various roles to include charge nurse, administrator, scholar, educator and practitioner. She has worked with high risk, diverse populations with a primary focus on rehabilitation, conflict resolution and violence reduction. She focuses her time being proactive working with children/adolescents and families. She carries a broad perspective in understanding the various levels of complexities and leads to an impressive ability to empathize with, relate to and mediate between systems (families and service providers) through crisis and conflicts. Her diverse background gives her a unique ability to break down walls, build bridges and bonds. Emphasizing skills versus pills.
This career chose her! She is empathic and believes recovery and teaching are like a form of water, a constant form of energy, which is ever-changing to one’s environment. She seeks to understand their way of learning and tailor her approach to the needs of the individual. Her goal is to identify needs, close gaps and create solutions for a positive social change. Better care, better outcomes one step at a time.
In her free time she spends quality time with her family camping, kayaking, hiking and anything that has to do with nature.
Melissa A. Waybrant-Ennis
Melissa A. Waybrant-Ennis, DNP, MSN, PMHNP-BC is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has extensive experience in treating mental health in the adolescent and child population. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Masters in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois State University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology from Towson University. Melissa is licensed to practice as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is also licensed to provide Medication-Assisted Treatment for substance use disorders.
